Angel Olsen

Last night I headed down to First Avenue to see one of my new-ish favorite artists - Angel Olsen. I was blown away by her set, of course, but also fell in love with her opener - Vagabon. I was shooting this show for myself, rather than a publication, which I always feel gives me a little bit of freedom to experiment, rather than worry about capturing all aspects of the show. Angel Olsen had a beautiful beaded backdrop for stage decor, so I had fun playing around with double exposures, and shooting the show with my new 85mm f/1.4 lens (it is…amazing).
