I love reading other people's product reviews/recommendations/etc. SO, I thought I'd share a few items that I have been loving recently. Who knows, maybe product reviews will become regular little feature on the blog! As much as I love tromping around in the woods (as most posts on my site show), I also do love to pamper myself while I'm in the city, hence the purchases below:

On a quick trip to the mall a few weeks ago, I stopped by the Bobbi Brown counter and spent way too long chatting with their makeup artists and trying on products. Of course, I found a few new things I love. We'll start with the moisturizers:

I'm in my late 20s and am taking it to heart that my skin is not always going to rebound so quickly, look so youthful, and I need to take better care of it! SO, I made the commitment to myself a couple of months ago that I am going to wash my face every morning AND every night (yup, I sort of regularly slept in my makeup in the past - gross, I know), moisturize like mad, and drink a ton of water a day. Simple things, but they make a huge difference.

Using quality product makes this routine feel like a little spa treatment and now it's a part of my day that I look forward to and won't skip. After a few weeks, I've already noticed improvements - my skin is smoother and more even toned, and waking up with a fresh, clean face is the best

After washing my face I apply Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream under my eyes, on my lids, and where I expect I'll have "laugh lines" someday (and will embrace them fully once they are there!). Then, I use a light amount of Hydrating Face Cream on the remainder of my face and neck. This lotion is thick and creamy, yet feels extremely light on your skin and is so immensely hydrating. I was slightly terrified by how much each of the lotions cost, but they are lasting forever. I think investing in good product has made me much more mindful to use only what I really need, rather than slathering on a thick layer.

I also picked up a couple of the Extra Lip Tints -- and I adore these. They are a tinted chapstick, and have the perfect amount of pigment (you can add layers to deepen the color) and the perfect sheen (not a globby gloss, or dry matte -- both textures that keep from wearing lipstick), and, they look relatively natural. Below are pictures of the two shades I'm using: Bare Pink (left) and Bare Melon (right). They only offer three colors in the lip tints so I'm hoping they expand the line!
