Rosemary Flatbread

If you are looking for a savory, delicious and *super* simple hors d'oeuvre to make for your holiday parties, this Rosemary Flatbread may be just the thing! Pair with your favorite fancy cheeses, a bit o' honey and you (and your guests) are in for a delicious treat.  Actual prep time for these crackers is *maybe* 20 minutes, and then it is just a bit of baking and you are good to go. Found the recipe here (or see below for the recipe AND photos)

You only need 7 simple ingredients to make these amazing crackers:

Ingredients:

-1 3/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

-1 tablespoon chopped rosemary plus 2 (6-inch) sprigs

-1 teaspoon baking powder

-3/4 teaspoon salt

-1/2 cup water

-1/3 cup olive oil plus more for brushing

-Flaky sea salt such as Maldon

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Finely chop 1 tablespoon of rosemary. Then, in a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, chopped rosemary and stir together. Once dry ingredients are mixed, create a well in the center and pour in olive oil and water. Slowly mix in dry ingredients with a wooden spoon until dough begins to form. Next, knead the dough 4-5 times.

Separate the dough into 3 pieces. Wrap two in plastic and set aside for later. On parchment paper, roll out 1 piece of dough until thin (should be roughly 10 inches).

Once dough is rolled out, brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Maldon's and rosemary (press these gently into the dough). Move the parchment and the dough onto a preheated baking sheet, and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until parts are golden brown. Remove from the oven. Then, repeat rolling out dough, etc. with the remain dough sections.

Grab your cheeses, your honeys, your friends and dig in...

(also pairs really well with a good scotch)
