Early Summer Garden

A few photos from my garden, and a flower bed nearby. Tonight I picked basil and made homemade pesto, and if that is all I get out of this garden this year, well I’m happy with that and the effort it took — there is honestly no better flavor. I followed this recipe, but 1.) used walnuts instead of pine nuts (who has that kind of money?!), and 2.) used a food processor instead of a mortar and pestle (who has that kind of time?!).
